How would Andrew do on the turingtest before and after falling out the window? Is the robot really intelligent like humans?

In the movie, Andrew shows many aspects of being intelligent and very machinelike personalities. In the film, Andrew was always considered a robot by most of the world except for some special people, until later on near the end of the film. In my opinion, I think that when Andrew was first received before falling out the window, he would definitely fail the turingtest because he has not began learning yet to be able to have the human characteristics. After falling out the window though, he became unique and began to learn like human beings starting from a baby form. So I think after falling out the window, he will pass the turing test. In the movie, Andrew was really intelligent like humans at the end, but in real life, probably not.

Should an intelligent, free-willed robot be considered alive or an “appliance?”

In the movie, Andrew was first an appliance, but as he developed artificial intelligence, he had his own request for freedom. His request came true and was set free, but went further on. If a robot was really able to develop the aspect of humans, and have the same feelings and emotions, I think that the robot should be able to be considered alive. If he wasn’t, it would just be like someone treating you as a machine while you are one hundred percent human.

Should an intelligent, free willed robot be owned or is it a form of slavery?

Andrew first came in as move of a slave, where he was ordered to do work and follow human demands. As time went on, he develops his own intelligence and begins to have his own opinions and gets smarter and smarter. I think that it shouldn’t be a form of slavery because he is basically not more like a human than a robot, and that being owned, like parents child, but still being able to have his own opinions is the best thing for a intelligent robot.

Should an intelligent, free willed robot be allowed to marry humans?

First, Andrew wasn’t allowed to be married to a girl in the movie because he did not fall in the human gene pool and was basically all machine inside. But later, he was declared that he can because he has changed so much and tried to let people acknowledge who he was just to become a part of human. I think that if a robot tries that much and already is mostly human, he should be able to marry other humans.

Should an intelligent, free willed robot be considered equal to humans? If immortal?

Andrew tried really hard to fulfill his dream to be considered a human so that he can be part of them as he have intelligence as all other humans. If robots were changed so much that they have all the inside organs, senses, and physical appearance like human, I think they should definitely be considered a human, but even if all these happened but the robot was still immortal, then that would be different. Because a human may do many harmful things if they had an immortal life.

Will AI be a good thing for humanity or a bad thing? Will it be more like Flatline, or Bicentennial Man? Why?

I think that AI will be a bad thing for humanity because it will ruin many activities that humans do and since everything seems so easy to do by robots, things won’t be as fun to do making the world more boring. But if we actually had AI, I think it would be more flatline than bicentennial man because movies today like the bicentennial man is made how humans like robot to seem like, but with technology today, making a robot that is as intelligent as Andrew is like near impossible in my own opinion.
